Examples of equipment used in matches

These examples are the Production Rifle:
  • The class weight limit is 12 pounds which many come close to weighing.

There are two main rifles in this competition with a common choice of caliber in .308 Winchester.

  •  The Savage 12 BVSS.
  • The Remington 700 in the heavy barrel varmint configurations.

For many years, the rifle that dominated this class was the Remington 788 in .308 Winchester.

A Savage 12 BVSS in .308 Winchester that is commonly used in Production class.

Many CBA competitors start in Production Class with the .308 Winchester cartridge.

  • This cartridge is accurate with reduced loadings.
  • There are a great variety of molds available in .30 caliber.

This competitor shoots a combination of bullets to better his scoring:

  • The SAECO #315 bullet at 100 yards.
  • The RCBS 30-180-SP at 200 yards.
