While no coyotes came in Saturday morning was really pretty.  I was trying to whack a couple with cast in the Garand.  Temps were about 4 degrees ambient at 10AM when I took these.  My back field. http://s1094.photobucket.com/user/yooper2/media/IMG_7505.jpg.html>http://s1094.photobucket.com/user/yooper2/media/IMG_7507.jpg.html>http://s1094.photobucket.com/user/yooper2/media/IMG_7508.jpg.html>http://s1094.photobucket.com/user/yooper2/media/IMG_7514.jpg.html>

Ken, I didn't know electric camera warmers existed. Makes sense with digital technology. I just put it in my inside jacket pocket until I want to use it. There used to be a guy in town who would degrease cameras for winter use then relubricate them in the spring.

For lube I'm using a homemade stiff version of 50/50 lube. It's about like Whitelabel 2500. Never had any problems with it it cold weather. Blackpowder lubes are a different story.

Did you live up here? I spent the night in Harbor Beach once during a boat delivery to Detroit. It was blowing hard out of the North and the waves on Lake Huron were massive forcing us in for the night instead of pushing on. The harbor was welcome!

Beautiful! Looks like where I hunt in the high hardwoods of the Southern Tier of Western New York in the town of Lyndon.

EricYes, we lived in Norway, moved to Dunbar/Pembine, Iron River, and Republic. Spent well over 14 yrs. there. Parents are from Kingsford.

Neat, one of my best friends lived in Pembine near the twin gas stations where 141 and 8 come together. Good hunting around there. His wife worked at the First National in Norway. Small world. I'm about 15 miles due south of Houghton in Tapiola.
