Need a Mold ( I think)

I have recently started to shoot a couple of Mosin Nagants with cast. Both have .313-.314 grooves. I am using the Lyman 314299 mold and they seem to shoot well out to 100 yards but lose it after that. On the Mausers I shoot and the couple of M95 Steyr's I use a bullet that is at least .0003 over the groove size and have better than average results.

Have been looking at various mold sites and can not find a .316 mold of any kind. Was considering Leementing (or trying to) the Lyman out to .316 , it would only be .0001 on each half but kinda wanted to keep the mold the way it is.

End of long story, does any one know a manufacturer that has a .316 mold similar to the Lyman 314299? If so a web site would be a great help.

Thanks runnin lead, I do not go there very often anymore so I missed it. Snuck in long enough to send a PM asking if I could get in on the buy.

No mold, but gas checks for .315 (.303 Br) on eBay by jamessageoutdoors, just search on 303 gas checks there.

I have a six cavity mould that has large diameter bands and large nose.

It is NEI 313 165,that casts 318 and is near 190 gr.in my scrap alloy.

beekeeper,

CBE seems to offer quite a few moulds in the size you need.

I have not dealt with them.

I shoot the NEI 155g (#72) also with good luck in my 91-30's.The Lee 155 Harris does just as well and is pretty close to the same bullet except for nose shape. Its a 2” or under bullet with iron sights.

I know Wayne, I have tried twice to contact Swede Nelson and get in on it but still no answer. If don't hear something in the next few days will simply hone out my existing .314 mold and dies and use them and order new .314 stuff.

I am thinking about the NEI 313 165 grain mold. I tried CBE and the website took so long that it stalled out.

I'ld look at Accurate molds, Mountain molds and LBT, before NEI, OR depending your use and goals, one of the Lee .312 molds and Beagle it,
