Could someone post a simple cross section drawing of the bump die inserts for the bullets band section and the nose of the bullet. I don’t need a lot of dimensions (.30 cal.) but even a hand drawn sketch would answer a lot of questions. This would answer how the bullet is bumped (nose up or nose down) plus many other questions. A lot of inquiring minds would like to know !

I’m interested and I’m sure there are others that are interested too in seeing more pictures.

I can't remember now why I had a picture of that bump die in my photo file. I just posted that one to gauge if there was any interest in seeing it. Clearly it does not show much useful detail. That green plastic on the ram is the cap for the RCBS powder measure behind it.

If it would help, and as I get some time in the next few days, I could take some better pictures. I won't post if your not really interested.

Let me know.

How is the bullet ejection item attached at the ram ? The green plastic item is covering that area.

I can offer a picture of the outside of one. It would require taking it apart for the inside workings. This one was made by Ardito for

 the 30 cal.

Here is a crude drawing of a bump die. It's not to scale. Any questions, I can try to make this clearer.

It showed up when posted and disappeared. See other post.
