Recently obtained two old Cramer moulds.  One is a #8 and one #5A.  Would like to know what handles might fit these moulds.  Thanks,  Charlie

GreetingsCharlie,

You might do best with Lee 6cavity handles ground or filed and drilled to fit.  From what I have read, they seem to fit (or be adaptable to) a variety of different moulds.

Cramer sold his business to SAECO, and SAECO continues to use Cramer thickness and hole spacing handles to this day. Be very careful about using Lee handles on anything but Lee moulds. The blocks float around so much that the alignment pins do not match well and will ding the faces of the blocks, IMHO.

Thanks for the response.  After some research and finding the SAECO connection, I took a gamble and ordered SAECO handles.  They are a bit pricey but It looks like I might have made the right choice.  Will confirm when they arrive.  My two Cramer moulds , a #5A and a # 8  should prove useful.   Charlie

I'm pretty sure the Seaco handles will work.

Yep!  The SAECO handles are perfect.

Now if you are handy, you can buy bargain basement used SAECO moulds that have been abused for pennies on the dollar. A couple of hours work and you have a great mould that will last 100,000's of bullets.
