Hello fellow CBA members. Pretty sure this is my first forum post. Been a member since maybe 89-90 so I've learned a ton from reading decades of the Fouling Shot.

I have a couple molds that I have never seen before and I'm curious if anyone here may be able to help me identify. I believe they may be early Rich Hoch but the only scrip is on the handles where the name "Rich" is stamped on the handle pivot. Its obvious that they are made like no others I've seen anyway and very well machined. The handle fingers screw on to the sides of the mold blocks. I have .30cal and .275 blocks.. both GC. If I wasn't so challenged by forum use I may be able to upload some photos or could email some to whoever may be interested in taking a look. The .275 about 130g estimate. The .30 is a RN maybe 140 -150g estimate..

Yes Hoch does make base pour last I checked, but those don't look like current style at all. Heck send the pics to the man who should know at Hoch molds. No website or email I could find.

So there are other base pour Hoch molds although not with same handle fit?

Thanks for the input guys! And the mystery continues!

I need to fire up that .30 and check weight and measurements.

Are they nose pour? All my hoch molds are nose pour , both the old ones and the new ones. Mine also have grooves for the handles to fit in like most molds.

I have two Hoch molds, 32 cal tapered for breech seating that are base pour.

I can't see any Hoch features on this mold, not even in the handles. It's a very nice mold though.

I like your pic posting much better. Thanks. Now if we can just find someone who has a clue. I sent pics off to a friend of mine who has who knows how many molds and he's stumped as well.

clankster ... just for fun ... you can go back and edit that big photo ... then grab one corner ( little square handle )  with your cursor and pull it diagonally to make the pic smaller .

i will add some pics of that mold here also.
