x101airborne here. Been around a bit just new here.

I shoot everything that goes boom, pop, pow at everything that squeals, yips, grunts, snaps or goes "shh shh" when you step on the brakes. I hail from around Victoria, Tx.

Look forward to getting to know yall and perhaps reconnect with old friends.

I also drool in my sleep. I firmly believe that true happiness is a warm gun. Did I mention how much I HATE auto-correct on this blasted tablet.

Most of my stories are examples of what a grunt does when he is bored (idle hands and all). LOL.

But yes, I would like that.

From the comments that Service people make, the closest thing to the military that I've done is working in a bait shop.wink

A little bit of everything.

My father owns a lot of military NFA weapons so I get to shoot them some, I shoot a lot of hunting firearms for predator / pest control. My latest success with cast bullets was getting a CZ550 in 375 H&H pushing a 280 grain cast running at 2350 fps (chronographed), my next attempt when I get healed up from shoulder surgery will be an AR15 in 375 SOCOM running as a semi auto with a cast 245 grain hollow point for shooting hogs under deer feeders. I will keep working this rifle till I find a load that runs at full jacketed velocity and maintains under 2 inches at 100 yards.

I have many handguns that I shoot often and have switched all of them to cast. Two years ago I bought a box of jacketed 45 caliber bullets to try. I still haven't opened them. I shoot my Ruger Super Blackhawk 44 Magnum to 250 yards open sights on steel but I hunt with it out to 100 yards (open sights). I have several scoped long range handguns that I only take out on Sunday shooting sessions where I can sit, relax and enjoy a little steel clanging. I do own some semi auto handguns, other than my Kimber 10mm Custom they rarely see light of day.
