I've got a Lee Loader for 308 win marked "MEQUON RELOADING CO", a ?Target? model with priming tool, trimmer and ?case mouth belling tool?; load sheet but no instructions.

Mequon? Does anyone know the story?

Thanks;

joe b.

Mequon bought out Richard Lee's first company in the early 1970's, with a 5 year "no competition" clause. During that period, Lee designed his first bench mounted equipment and bullet moulds. After that, he started Lee Precision and went back into business. Mequon did no new design work, but changed and automated the manufacturing process. By the late 1970's Mequon either went out of business or sold it back to Richard Lee. Lee tool collectors want an example of "Mequon" but it has to be a "snowflake" like new and perfect white plastic liners. HTH, Ric
