Joined  a few days ago, finally got around to posting here.

Cast for every firearm I have except my 50bmg.  Love shooting older firearms now, though I have many newer types.  I've cast lead since I was 10 using my dads hot pot to melt roof lead I "procured" from a construction site.  Finally started to use cast bullets after I started to reload at 16.  I first started with store bought bullets (laser cast, which almost stopped my use of lead bullets), and ended up with about 40 moulds so far.  I have some old herters moulds, as well as some home made looking ones as well.  And use TAC lube for all of them.

Otherwise, mostly RCBS, Lyman, LEE, and a couple NOE moulds.

I work in the elevator trade so I have access to lead occasionally.  While it may only be once or twice a year, its massive quantities, close to, or over thousands of pounds.  This next batch I'll let everyone here know and try to find homes for more then the few hundred pounds I buy of it.

Its either pure, or a hard babbit from shackles.

Anyways, I like to relaod and cast more then shoot.  Leading to my trips to the range being more about mining the berm for lead then actual shooting.

I'll cast my lyman 454190 all day, but I don't think you could pay me enough to use my collar button mould again.

Nice to meet you all.

I'm in Clio MI, but work in southeast detroit.

It kind of TASTES like lead...

Welcome.

Yup.  You got to like to fool with lead in order to enjoy this sport.  Something about seeing dirty lead transformed into shiny ingots just warms the soul.
