I will agree that the association pretty much ignores the front stuffers so it's no big surprise there isn't a TOPIC area for muzzleloaders. Keep in mind the same situation exists concerning black powder cartridge shooting too. Granted, there is a topic area for them in the forum but take a look at how many articles about that topic exists in The Fouling Shot. Keep in mind that the black powder cartridge shooters are all shooting cast bullets too.
I don't know if it's because the BPCR shooters don't write articles or is it because only a minute amount of CBA members shoot BPCR. I suppose the same can be said for the muzzleloader shooters. It could also be because over the years, there have been other publications dealing with muzzleloaders in greater depth. Right now there is only one and it is mostly covering history and not shooting muzzleloaders. There is also the web site, Campfire Topics hosted by Muzzleloader magazine and that forum-site is dedicated to traditional muzzleloaders and many topic areas of historical interest, much like this forum has different interest areas.
In the case of BPCR, there is a publication that specializes in them and that's Black Powder Cartridge News.
Those two publications differ from our The Fouling Shot in that they have hired and paid authors rather than accepting what freelance work their readers do.
By the way, that muzzleloading forum under the name Camp Fire Topics is a great resource for information. Much like this forum, that one has many very knowledgeable participants who can answer darn near any question.
