I used to use the water soluble RCBS stuff. Then someone said One Shot wax was the bomb. So I bought some. How do you clean that stuff off? I tried Dawn and the old lemon juice, salt, soap, and hot water mix and that didn't work real good. Neither did alcohol. I ended up rubbing all the cases in a big rag. What takes that stuff off? I don't like it. Gimme the water soluble stuff any day.

Throw what you have left away. Put the cases in your wife's panty hose and run through the clothes washer several times. Then use Imperial sizing die wax and never take it off.

I don't remove it, it just wears away during the reloading cycle.

Have they changed the formula ?

I bought a case of 12 cans, 2 years ago. Use it for 5.56, .308, .30-06 & .44-40, .38-40, .32-20.

Everything else gets a roll across the lube pad with Imperial Lube.

Hornady just seems to disappear for me. I still do a wipe during final inspection before boxing, but there just isn't enough to really wipe off.

It just seems I can't get the residue off.  Probably doesn't hurt anything.  I don't think I should have to wipe off every single case.yell

I've always used the water soluble stuff and it is so easy to remove.

Try non-chlorinated brake cleaner. I spray it on a paper towel and wipe the cases. Of course, it's flammable, has harmful vapors, and is probably a cancer causing agent, so don't use it while pregnant or nursing, in confined spaces, or smoking, and you'll probably be fine.

Many case lubes will work. I've used One Shot (not a fan) RCBS water based, STP even Bag Balm. Imperial is by far the best in my opinion. Gp

Over the years, Imperial Sizing Wax has been the most reliable I have used. When necking up or down, after annealing, once-fired brass that I have bought; all get the Imperial treatment.

When resizing brass that I have shot, I use Groom and Clean. It works, is cheap, and is water-soluble.

I never heard of Groom and Clean.  I'll try that.  Hope you're not pulling my leg because I'm bald and I wouldn't have any other use for it besides case lube.

I've used it for years as my hairline has also receded. Groom and Clean has worked well for me for the last five decades. A dab on my palms, squeeze the palms together, pick up five rifle cases, roll them to get coverage and proceed with sizing. Dip the last case neck against the palm to get the sizing button lubricated.
