I am wondering how many of the folks on this forum have checked out "The Reloaders Network" on line.

https://thereloadersnetwork.com/

I joined The Reloaders Network when it first went live over  a year ago. I know some of the members there are CBA members, I just don't know if many CBA members are part of The Reloaders Network. From the website:

"The Reloaders Network is a gathering together of individuals interested in such topics as bullet casting, handloading or reloading, firearms, and the shooting sports.  It is a place to teach, to learn, and to collaborate and interact.  The content presented here is intended to inform, to educate, and even to entertain."

You only have to 'join' to have access to comment on posts and  post on the boards (slack). A lot of folks with video channels are affiliated there now so youtube can't stop their firearms related videos.

I hope many of you check it out and hope we can all help promote safe use of firearms and shooting. I find many interesting topics shared and sometimes a good laugh. Sometimes I learn something and sometimes learn what NOT to do. If you are so inclined, I recommend you check it out.

I was impressed! Particularly with the U tube video, The best of Full Auto Friday, by Kentucky Ballistics. Not only spraying the landscape with full auto fire but especially the parts where the fully clothed mannequin was tied to a tree and then blasted. Not to mention perforating the facsimile of the human chest torso . The only thing missing was fake blood gushing out. That little detail would have made the video even more appealing.  Nice job.

Should go a long way in helping to protect the 2nd amendment and promoting the responsible use of firearms.

My first and last visit.

I would definitely not endorse full auto Friday as you described it. There are all types on there.

AS I DESCRIBED IT ?? It's there for all the world to see ! just AS I DESCRIBED IT !! watch it and see for yourself, which you no doubt already have. Why your web master would allow that sort of video to be posted is beyond comprehension.  Great advertisement.

Obviously senseless to carry this any further.

R. Dupraz, I was not being critical of you at all. I have not watched it and only meant "what you are describing makes us all look like idiots". If I was not clear I will be. Acting like a fool with a gun makes all gun owners look like irresponsible idiots. I am not involved with full auto Friday or any other such nonsense. I am not surprised at all at your disgust. You are rightfully put off by it. I have never seen anything of the sort before. What I was saying is, I would not endorse someone acting in the manner which you described. I think it is a bad show and makes us all look irresponsible. I was not being critical of what you said, because I agree with you.

John

My comments weren't so much directed at you personally as they were at the idiot wanna be video stars and more specifically at whoever is in charge of that forum. Yes, that kind of thing involving firearms does get my attention especially with our society the way it is now days.

No offense taken. Thanks for the reply.

Mr. Dupraz, I am the webmaster of that particular site, and I believe your description of the site misrepresents what that site is about. If you'll allow me a minute, I'd like to explain. The Reloaders Network contains all sorts of content, mostly video, related to reloading, bullet casting, firearms, shooting sports, plus the various related accessories and gear. (We feature very little that is 'primarily political' in nature.) We currently have nearly 80 folks contributing content. Just like people that create posts on this forum are free to make up their own topics or their own questions, I don't dictate to the various content creators what they can or cannot post on my site. Obviously, (just like on this forum), there are certain lines that can't be crossed, but in general terms, their content is their choice. To the specific Full-Auto post you mentioned; you misrepresented that post in your comment. That particular video was a demonstration of how ceramic body armor would fair against close range full-auto fire. Was it taped to a mannequin? Yes. I believe most adults are able to easily make the distinction between a plastic, headless, armless mannequin and a real person just as well as they are between a real person and a silhouette target or a real person and an IPSEC target. Are certain things done in some of these videos primarily for their entertainment value? Of course. Do you have to like it? Of course not. But, please, don't go leaving readers of this thread with the impression that The Reloaders Network is just a bunch of irresponsible nonsense just because one/some of the videos didn't tickle your particular fancy. That would be neither fair nor accurate. That would be very similar to me discouraging anyone from ever visiting this site because of your two comments in this thread. That would not be fair to either you or this site. Both this site and The Reloaders Network exist for very similar reasons. Thank you for your time.

I have taken the time to view the video and found that it would probably be of little interest to our members, but that is my opinion and would let them make their own decision. However this thread is turning into what we don't need and so it will be locked until I get enough support for it to have it opened again.

Let me also say that this site and The Reloaders Network do not exist for similar reasons. We are a non-profit dedicated to cast bullet shooting and as I see it, The Reloaders Network is a for-profit site as evidenced from the sale of "Loads of Bacon" items and others that are offered. The site clearly asks for donations such as other sites to keep it up and running. However the huge selection of t-shirts, caps and other logo trinkets suggest for profit. We ask for no donations here and let anyone use our forum. A membership in the CBA is not required.

Last I am not making the RN out to be a bad site to visit and would encourage all members of this forum to visit and judge for themselves. I have found that it does have legitimate and useful content, but does not rise to the level that we need to debate it's worth on this forum.
