For all of you who love your flint & percussion rifles.
The following is a flyer for the Dixon Gunmakers Fair in Kempton, PA. It's a wonderful time. Not only about guns but everything having to do with living in that period. Great for BOTH men & women. Tons of period crafts. Not to mention an incredible array of gun parts, stocks etc.. It's a three day event that one should attend if near the area.
Please open the attachments. The first is describing the event & the second showing accomodations. I live close so I'll be there on Sunday the 29th.

No, I am not politically correct. Understand that before you challenge me! You'll get the answer you ask for.
My 3 PARDS and I went to Dixon's Fair last Friday.
We were there to early to get the Dutch Oven Apple Pie
from the Chuck Wagon.
Sure missed that.
We looked in all of the tents and bought a few things,it is a great show.
I try to go every year ,but I go to shop a few times a year.
We live about 45 mins. north of Kempton
Did you go to Kempton to see the trains or get ride on the old Steam powered Train.
Four of us made the trip on Saturday (only) and had a wonderful time. The seminar on lock tuning, in this case a flintlock, was most informative. Btw, there's an excellent restaurant and brew pub in nearby Kutztown. Just to reaffirm what others have written, if you appreciate craftsmanship and muzzle loading firearms, Dixon's Gunmaker's Fair is well worth attending.
