heh heh, it is not something that is IN the lead....it is something that is NOT in the mix. lbt machines his mold dimensions with a specified alloy in mind. pure lead will make smaller diameters.....apparently your tire weights are of nearly pure lead.
if someone here doesn't post with the lbt standard alloy, just contact veral...or the alloy might be in the directions.
The lead metal shrinks the most of the metals in bullet alloys: as it goes from liquid to solid, the metal actually forms crystals, and as the crystals link up, the atoms move closer togather. The last area that cools, shrinks the most. HTH, Ric
Hey hey Ken, hold your horses
I didnt mentioned the name LBT.
I was not casting, but making ingots.
When im casting with verals mould i use only "normal" ww alloy
The truck ww are even hard as "normal" ww
But when i was making ingots of them they came out smaller than the "normal" ww.
The came even smaller out of it then pure lead ingots..... i dont get it.
hardness is the same.
"normal" ww came out the biggest of them all, then followed by pure lead, the truck ww are the smallest??????????
